First Pass Sorting

Sort Donations (Boxes/Bags)

Love mystery boxes and organized chaos? You’ll dive into bags of donated goodies like a thrifty treasure hunter, sorting them into their rightful kingdoms (aka labeled bins). Gloves on. Chaos conquered.

Beads & Jewelry Sorter

Do you enjoy tiny sparkly things? You’ll sort dazzling bits into bins by color, size, type, and sass level. Warning: You may feel like a dragon hoarding treasure. That's okay. We support it.

Notions & Buttons Sorter

Buttons. Everywhere. You’ll wrangle rogue buttons, and sort sewing notions like a haberdashery hero. Satisfying? Oh yes.

Ribbons Wrangler

Untangle. Wind. Repeat. If ribbon is your love language, this one's for you.

General Crafts & Kid Crafts Guru

Glitter glue, pipe cleaners, foam shapes—oh my! Help us sort our wildest assortment of kid-friendly chaos into craft kits and bins. A great task for those who find joy in googly eyes and felt dinosaurs.

School & Office Supply Sorter

Turn office chaos into organized bliss—sort pens, paper, crayons, and folders like a back-to-school superhero. Bonus points if you get a thrill from a perfectly sharpened pencil.

Yarn & Fiber

Yarn whisperers wanted! Help untangle skeins, identify alpaca from acrylic, and sort by color like you're organizing a rainbow. Bonus points if you can rescue a yarn barf. Knowledge of yarn, fiber types and related crafts preferred.

Fabrics

You’ll be measuring and marveling at mystery textiles. Is it cotton? Is it a knit? Is it a curtain from the 1980s? You decide! Help get our fabric stash neat and ready for its next sewing adventure. Knowledge of fabric types and uses preferred. Ability to read a ruler required.

Scrapbooking & Paper Crafting

If you’ve ever spent 30 minutes choosing the right sticker, this one’s for you. You’ll sort beautiful papers, embellishments, stamps, and washi with the precision of a scrapbook sorcerer.

Product Cleaning & Prep

Some donations just need a little love. You’ll wipe, polish, and prep items for the spotlight, turning dusty duds into dazzling deals.

Store Cleaning

Help us keep the sparkle alive! Sweep, wipe, dust, and tidy so our creative chaos stays inspiring—not just messy.

Merchandising Magician

Got an eye for design? Help us arrange our shelves, bins, and displays to spark creative joy in our customers. Warning: You may fall in love with your own displays. We get it.

Street Team/Flyer Fairy

Become the magical creature who brings posters, postcards, and flyers to shops, libraries, and bulletin boards around town. You’ll help spread the word and maybe even discover cool places yourself.

Social Media Helper

Got a witty caption for a jar of buttons? Help us build a delightful and creative online presence. Whether it’s photography, writing, or TikTok magic—you bring the vibe, we’ll bring the art.

Workshop Instructor

Have a crafty talent? Teach a mini workshop at our space! From upcycled jewelry to scrap fabric monsters, we’d love to support your creative genius and share it with the community.

Cashier Extraordinaire

Smile, ring, chat, repeat! You’ll help customers check out, answer questions, and be the friendly face of repurposed goodness. No math degree required—just a love of people and creative reuse. Background check required

Fundraising Committe Member

Like planning parties with a purpose? Join our idea squad to brainstorm and execute creative ways to raise funds—from punny campaigns to artsy auctions. We like weird ideas. Try us.

Online Sales Lister (Outside Sales)

You’ll help photograph, describe, and list valuable or vintage items on platforms like, Facebook Marketplace or eBay. Great for detail-lovers and resale-savvy humans. This is a hybrid volunteer opportunity. Photos can be taken at Partial Arts, and listed at your home.

Grant Writer

Help us chase the funding rainbow! You’ll work with us to write grants that help keep creativity affordable and accessible. Great for researchers, writers, and nonprofit lovers. Experience required.

Lesson Plan Developer/Liaison

Create creative reuse-based lesson plans for workshops or classrooms. Ideal for current or retired educators who miss writing fun, hands-on, standards-aligned activities.

Event Planner

Love spreadsheets and brainstorming themes like "Makers & Moonlight?" Join our planning posse and help us map out exciting, inclusive, and artsy events.

Event Day Helper

Be the muscle and magic behind the scenes. Set up tables, greet guests, run mini activities, or help clean up. No cape required—but you will be a hero. This is an as-needed volunteer opportunity. Your name will be put on a list of volunteers we can contact when events are planned.

Donation Pick-Up Pal

Hit the road with purpose! Pick up donations from community members and bring them to our center. You’ll need a vehicle and the ability to lift bags/boxes (plus the thrill of the unknown—what’s in the box?!). This is an as-needed volunteer opportunity. Your name will be put on a list of volunteers we can contact when your help is needed. Please note the type of vehicle(s) you have access to (coupe, sedan, small SUV, Large SUV, van, truck, etc.), as well as any trailer you have access to.

Redistribution Rockstar

We sometimes receive lovely things that just aren’t crafty or fit for our outside sales channels. Help us find homes for them by delivering items to local shelters, schools, or charities. A feel-good errand run with real community impact. This is an as-needed volunteer opportunity. Your name will be put on a list of volunteers we can contact when your help is needed.

COMING SOON!

We’re working on flexible, at-home volunteer options to make helping out more accessible for all. Whether you're a busy parent, a retiree, or just prefer cozy volunteering in stretchy pants, you'll soon be able to pick up small projects (like sorting, bundling, or prepping kits) to work on from home, then drop them off when you're done.
